I am really glad that these tips have helped you achieve a Google PR2. These tips are really the selected ones and if you follow you will certainly get what you desire. So, all the best & thanks for appreciating

Re: Rolling to Google PR3 : My Ride (Part II)

Hey! Just wanted to chime in again and say hi. I've been following a number of tips from your two-part article. Just this morning I checked my page and I went from a PR0 to a PR2!!

These tips really do work! I'm going to simply continue what I've been doing. What I've taken most from this article though is that content really is king. You can do all the promotion you want, but if you don't have original content, you can forget it all!

Re: Rolling to Google PR3 : My Ride (Part II)

Congrats man! I keep coming back to this article to read up and take in some inspiration. :)

As of now I've been active on a lot of social bookmarking type sites such as Digg, but it seems no one likes to digg my posts, although I get lots of visitors from the posts themselves, so I guess it's beneficial in some sense. (but no current chance of getting Digg front page, a dream of course)

Re: Rolling to Google PR3 : My Ride (Part II)

@joe : i also emphasize on adding a personal touch to your blog posts otherwise it is just like a news or fact about something. Adding that personal touch gives your blog the added advantage. So, i completely agree with you, joe.

@owndotcomfree : enjoying blogging in your niche is the first and the last requirement. If you don't enjoy what you write then how come your visitors enjoy your posts. So, everything else follows if you enjoy what you write. I have replied to your shout at blog catalog.

Thanks for the visits.

Re: Rolling to Google PR3 : My Ride (Part II)

All your tips here are true and effective. I also believe not to hurry on making money. Branding is probably the most important thing. Just think about where you go for news online, where you go to search online, etc... Do you associate a certain company or name when you do? Nice design is good, but not a necessity in some cases. Your right, ads can be a turn off if splashed all over the page when your user base hasn't been built. Read, read, read is also important.

Re: Rolling to Google PR3 : My Ride (Part II)

Thank you so much for all the info! Some of your ideas are reflected in my post, too. Thanks for dropping by. I would be looking forward to your new template.
Branding, as you always say, is an important part of blogging. This feature and more of this kind will be discussed in my next post of this series.

@darmawan : I wish you all the best. You have raised so many essential points. One of them is screw advertisements...or almost. I mean, there's no reason why you would want to ruin the end user experience for like 1$ a month. Build a community, followers, readership or whatever you like to call it and then start to monetize.

Reviewing your posts after publish time is a to do as well. I can spend like 15-30 minutes reviewing a post if I feel it needs some polishing. That's just the way it is, content is king and reviewing your articles is one step closer to a king article.

Template is important. That include the structure of your posts and also the whole layout of the website. That's why I'm changing layout on frogstr, I don't think it's a very good layout. You know, it does the job...

I'd like to add one more point...BRANDING! ;) Yeah, I always talk about it, but it is important to brand your blog or simply yourself. Just like you think of McDonald's when talking about fast food, you want people to think of "cars on roll" when talking about cars ;)

Nice one!

Re: Rolling to Google PR3 : My Ride (Part II)

Wow!
